Discover community networking at Momentum Technologies
Momentum Technologies and international recruitment have gone hand in hand for over 10 years now. We're constantly learning and striving to improve our processes and practices. Our community networking program began with a standard integration program, followed by a sponsor-sponsor initiative and, for the past few years, a community networking program. This program is offered to all international newcomers, which equates to over twenty new colleagues a year! So we're delighted to share a little more information about our program with you today.
What is the Momentum Community Networking Program?
▪️ Prior to the arrival of a new international employee, the Human Resources team asks for the employee's authorization to participate in the Momentum Community Networking Program.
▪️ Once authorization has been given, we share the new employee's e-mail contact with all Momentum Technologies employees in the same country.
▪️ If we don't have several people from the same country, we add neighboring countries or even countries on the same continent.
▪️ This creates a first contact even before the person arrives.
What is the purpose of a community networking program?
▪️ Facilitate integration.
▪️ Have another source of information about your host country other than the Momentum HR team.
▪️ Create contacts and relationships even before you arrive.
▪️ Having someone with the same credentials and experience in the same process.
▪️ Knowing that someone understands and knows your reality can make all the difference during the immigration process.
Of course, when newcomers join our team in Quebec, the entire Momentum team is there to welcome them and make them feel welcome.
This program will continue to evolve with new welcomes each year and feedback from our team, but for now we realize that small, simple gestures like these are the ones that really count.
