This strategy, which is the government’s first concerted effort to help businesses with their workforce training and hiring issues, consists of 47 measures that will achieve two goals :

• Employ more people.
• Create an environment that helps people build the skills they need and that takes advantage of new labour market conditions.

The National Workforce Strategy is a 5-year, $1.3 billion investment, with $802 million earmarked to attract workers, integrate as many people as possible into the workforce, and help businesses meet their recruitment and retention challenges.

The example of MOMENTUM TECHNOLOGIES

Alongside the ministers, our president Michel Ganache gave some remarks to the province’s major media outlets. We are very proud to have been chosen as an example when it comes to integrating resources recruited through immigration and providing them with French-language instruction.

Programs like this one help SMEs that don’t always have the resources to implement extensive programs " said M. Ganache.

Staying competitive also means keeping skills up to date with new technologies such as big data and AI. "We’ve been doing in-house training since 2007.
